Supplement Ingredients & Health Benefits
Turmeric Root - Native to Southeast Asia, turmeric has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine. Through curcuminoids, turmeric promotes healthy levels of inflammation and enhances antibody production against damaging bacteria and viruses [1,2]. Curcumin is the main curcuminoid responsible for the rich, yellow color of turmeric and can also promote digestive and brain health [3,4]. Turmeric may also be able to promote joint health by supporting healthy bone densities [5,6].
Glucosamine Sulfate – This key ingredient can help to promote joint mobility since it forms the building blocks for cartilage formation [7]. Healthy cartilage is vital for joint health because cartilage provides the cushioning and support for joints. By helping to naturally maintain normal joint function, glucosamine sulfate can promote joint flexibility and lubrication [8,9].
Chondroitin Sulfate – Chondroitin sulfate is another naturally occurring substance made in the body and works to nourish the joints [10,11]. Healthy levels of chondroitin help to optimally maintain and support joint cartilage function.
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) – Similar to glucosamine, MSM is another building block for healthy cartilage, joints, and bones. MSM is rich in a natural molecule called sulfur, which helps to strengthen connective tissue by making glucosamine and collagen [12].
Ginger Extract - Native to Southeast Asia, ginger extract has been used medicinally for thousands of years. Ginger root, which is rich in antioxidants, can support a healthy immune system and help to control inflammation [13]. By supporting muscle oxygenation and recovery, ginger extract may help to promote exercise performance [14]. Ginger extract is also rich in a compound called 6-Shogaol, which may help to support memory [15].
Quercetin – Quercetin is a potent antioxidant that is found within fruits and vegetables. As part of the family of flavonoids, quercetin helps to support the immune system from damage by harmful oxygen radicals that could lead to various diseases [16]. This nutrient can also powerfully promote heart health by supporting the immune defense against molecules that can damage heart cells.
Bromelain - Native to Central and South America, this compound is naturally extracted from pineapple and helps to enhance protein digestion [17]. Bromelain is also used to support healthy levels of inflammation within the gut and joints, in addition to supporting heart health by breaking down cholesterol [18,19,20].
Boswellia Extract – Widely found in India and North Africa, this extract is derived from the Boswellia tree. Boswellia extract helps to support healthy levels of inflammation within the body [21]. For this reason, it has become very popular in the realm of osteoarthritis and joint support [22].
Methionine – Methionine is an essential amino acid for humans, meaning that it is not made within the body and must be derived from what we eat [23]. However, methionine is vital for the healthy growth of muscles and tissues. It is also a powerful antioxidant, which helps to defend cells from damage by oxygen radicals and other toxins [24].
BioPerine – Also known as black pepper extract, BioPerine is well-known for its ability to boost the absorption of nutrients and minerals from the gastrointestinal tract [25]. This extract helps the body to maximally absorb the other ingredients within the formula, including turmeric, ginger, and glucosamine sulfate.
